Re: Racing on rubber tyres
I'm so glad you guys have plenty airtime, but don't wait till callmore time to use it, work is boring!!!
That sideforce is going to take it's toll round the top high speed corner!!! That fence will be getting some visitors or what??
My boat is ready!!
On a seriaas note though - ototw you might be thinking of riding in the rain with all your FL's and whatnot, but have you seen what THE driverstands look like that these okes are using in the rain??

Re: Racing on rubber tyres
On a serious note, snotspoed was asking about setup for the rubber tyres:
I will be getting a good setup from the Top Racing supplier and I will have my car available for all to copy if it works on our track. There will be a lot of small things that won't be easy to spot, roll centers being one of them. Shock oil and piston holes I will find out and we work it from there. A basic setup can always be tweaked to your taste. I will try my car as it is now. I will just change tyres and camber and see how far off I am. The rest will follow I reckon.

Re: Racing on rubber tyres
Does the photon come in rubber spec and foam spec kits like some other brands?

Re: Racing on rubber tyres
yes they do. Doesn't matter to much I reckon. The main differences will be in the thickness of the upper deck and the "wings" which allows for more or less flex. You want more flex for rubber I reckon. Mine is one of the first ones when they had foam and rubber spec, they all the same now.

Re: Racing on rubber tyres
so if your car came with a front and rear swaybar it should be a rubber spec.

Re: Racing on rubber tyres
The reason I asked was that if it did, download the rubber spec manual and do a rebuild, and Bobs your uncle and fannies your aunt!! Problemmo solved!!

Re: Racing on rubber tyres
As usual I would have the foam spec's, will have to take out a personal loan to get the upgades.

On a more serious note:
The brains has all the equipment and aggregates to complete the driversstand extension,I just hope the brains thought of a wind and roof protection too, just dunno which season that will get underway,
