Who tested it? Was it in race conditions or just Saturday arvi practice? Policing is part of the job!! It needs to be a long term test with different spec options so that you can see which setup is best suited for the club. If it's a total walkover, then maybe introduce a 21.5t pro stock class or something, and once all the guiys start jumping to the bl class then drop club stock brushed. There are means and ways of getting it right, you just need to be creative to make it inviting and fair to all.

Well, you can look at it as MORE money AGAIN, or you can look at it as an investment which is going to last you years if you don't abuse it, and there's no maintenance!!!

Re: 21.5T brushless system?
Look at it however you want, you have to progress. And sarda will more than likely have 21.5t voted in next year as a class again, but it's up to the clubs to actively push them. Look at the bigger picture, not just your wallet!!

And besides, everyone is in business for a reason, just like you are.

Re: 21.5T brushless system?
They're not influencing the outcomes of rules. Why do you think all classes went to rubber tyres at nationals with any brand you prefer? That mentality is out as is evident from the outcome of their voting.
A TT01 with 25/55 gearing and lipo is going to be nowher against a pro chassis with 21.5t!!!! Compare apples with apples, not sour lemons!!
When it comes to investment, how many silvercans do you use in one year? The guys who want to be the best go through at least 5 or 6 motors a year to stay competitive, so at R150 - R180 a pop, that's anything from R750 to R1080 a year, so instead of wasting money on new motors all the time, buy a 21.5t system and you're done for at least 3 - 4 years, that in my book is an investment. Never mind the added bonus of no maintenance!!
But if you still can't see the big picture, carry on racing TT01 and 17.5t and let the rest of us try push sarda into putting bl clubstock back into their roster.

1) I differ from statement in blue,some-one is paying or bribing you to say the right words
I wish, I'd dig an rc sponsor, you offering??
2) word in green -whats that, sound if you try to direct translate english to afrikaans,or some language unknown
Some lemons are sweet, have you never heard the expression - "schweet like a lemon"?
3)Sentence in RED,,well the amount range between 3 to 4 a month
Case closed then!!!! So you telling me you or they spending minimum R5400 on silvercans a year??? Lucky lhs!!!!!
4) Statement in violet,,well I would like to buy a r/c component that will last 3-4 yrs ,but the govern body keep changing rules
Buy one combo and then additional motors and interchange the esc between chassis/classes.
5)in orange, all brushless motors have bearings,it need to be oiled
Maybe every 2yrs??? I pressume you enjoy servicing your silvercans then?
6) In cyan,I do not have a 17.5 T ,wake up,it seems to me that facts make u're replies aggresive, relax
You have previously stated that your car/17.5t combo is not competitive against the others in super stock, and that it's too fast for you, were you maybe using a 13.5t in the wrong class then?

Re: 21.5T brushless system?
I cannot believe that no one else on this forum has nothing to say wrt all the suggestions/questions/etc posted over the last while. Is everyone just going to sit back and accept whatever the committee decides for 2012. If there's no input as to what the individuals want, then classes will stagnate and people will lose interest. Ah, never mind, this will probably go unanswered either!!

Re: 21.5T brushless system?
@ DJ, i think you guys are doing a great thing by testing stuff and trying to make the whole racing experience better for you club members. Eventually your club might reap the rewards of all you collective efforts. However it is important that you do not move too far away from the mainstream, as you might find yourselves isolated from the rest of the country. Currently races like the CC are easy to arrange, but might not always work out that way if people cannot agree on classes. Another option is to share all the info you have regularly with other club. That way they could move at the same pace you guys are moving. Good Luck.
