Why would we chicken out? We'll take it as it comes. Bang gat, neva and everybody will be on rubber, so it will be a newby for all of us.

You keep saying bang gat, neva???? Who you trying to convince???
And don't forget, urccc was only rubber till the last little while, so no newby excuses, just got to dig deep in the grey matter to find the info again.

Chicken out = Bang gat. And you are referring to that a lot, so who's trying to convince who?

Hey DJ, those Nats remind me of the old days in Group N, where there used to be a costal and inland championship. You cannot have an SA championship with no round at the coast ??? I say boycott their asses and have a Coastal event or two during the year.

Yip, not one coastal club applied to host next year??? But that we're aiming to change next year, maybe the nats will move to the coast for a solid year, who knows????

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
If the importers were willing put some money back into the sport, they could promote the sport by staging a Coastal National in conjunction with one of the coastal clubs. The risk is far too high and rewards too little for the DRCCC to want to ask for a national on it's own. I have asked this question before, what does SARDA put back into the sport that would make it attractive to stage a national?

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
It's a very good question about sarda, I don't have the answer, but know that they're not a profit organisation, and I don't think they make that much out of nationals. I will pose the question to the right people and am sure we'll get a good answer.
As for the importers, that's a mindset that I don't think will ever change except for Tamiya. They are sponsoring two seperate TC's next year, so they are on the right track.
But it's ignorant quotes like these that put the hobby down and create the negative vibes that are defeating the objectives to grow the hobby to it's former glory.Snotspoed wrote: I say boycott their asses and have a Coastal event or two during the year.

Ignorant my ass. If you are so darn smart, how come you don't know what SARDA puts in or gets out ???? Of course SARDA won't make the money, it is just a puppet of the importers that are making the money. If you are going to have all the Nationals away from the coast, why must we kiss up to them, for what ???????????? Unless you are maybe on the take to keep pushing SARDA at the coast, I cannot see what you get out of them ?

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
Financial reward hasn't been tabled yet, but I'm sure it'll be decent seeing as though they make tons of profit out of nats. I might be able to afford that photon that's for sale??
And for your information, sarda made 21 652.53 clean profit last year, TOP probably made more, but we're not privi to those financial statements.

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
I read your statement , I was reffering to my financial reward, and the fact that sarda does make money, and yes I clearly know that the importers make way more, but we're not privi as to how much. And lets face it, are you as an importer going to rather put your "hard" earned profits back into the hobby or would you rather put it towards that new Nissaan GTR you've been eyeing out that's about to be launched, or that holiday house on the coast???? I think not!!!!

Unofficially, the ore ran at a loss for 2011, these are unaudited figures. But some suggestions re your concerns have been voiced to the relevant parties, lets see what 2012 brings!!

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
Yes sure, that GTRXYZ will be nice, but at some stage it will need tyres. Therefore the guy making the money should also put some of it back. Like a farmer who has to plant some seed before he can reap the crop that buys the GTRXYZ

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
Why must he put back??? Once the xyz is bought, he's going to need to be more schnoep with his bucks, like you say, it's going to need tyres, brakes, oil, services, etc which also costs money you know, it doesn't come for free. That is if he doesn't take it on a full maintenance plan!!

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
OK, does anybody have any new information for us on this subject yet? How are we going to elevate the coastal clubs to a higher level without them always having to dance to the inland tunes ??

Re: Nationals Roads Trips 2012
The thing is the coastal clubs don't apply to host, therefore the nats get given to the inland clubs, therefore the coastal guys have to travel. It's a catch 22 unfortunately. And good luck on getting constructive comments elsewhere!!
