1.Batteries
Tamiya Touring Stock batteries will be limited to sub-c nickel cadmium stick packs, commercially available in SA through rc distributers. They will have a maximum capacity rating of no more than 1800mah and be unmatched cells.

2.Motors
TT01 Touring Stock and Open Stock classes are restricted to Johnson/Mabuchi 540 2 slot motors. These motors must be locally (SA) bought through recognised hobby shops, imported 540 stock motors will not be permitted in these classes, ie: RED DOT motors. All motors used may not exceed a gain in power to a maximum of 19,000rpm at 7.2v.

The Tamiya Cup does not fall under SARDA Rules, they are two different governing bodys,as far it goes with DRCCC rules,I have absolute no idea,I'll find out and post your answer here a.s.a.p.
A matter of interest, last year at a race in TT01 I was disqualified being underweight with 2grams,there after I went and built a weight into my TT01 that never -ever can come apart of the chassis,my car's weight was pushed up to 1550gram,and it ran like a rocket,so my way of seeing it,not always does a lighter car work, that yellow ferrari was a momentum rocket.
