Coastal Cup 2012
I know you guys are only having your AGM next year wrt to new rules etc, but I just want to pick your brains a bit and get your thoughts on developments in the rc world wrt to the different classes run at the CC.
We(trccc) are busy finalising our class rules for next year, nothing set in stone yet, but we're leaning towards adding brushless in more classes. I'll give a simple description for the classes that are having changes below.
TT Stock - remains silver can, might do some 21.5t testing if all goes well with club stock testing.
Club Stock - remains silver can for now, but we will be testing 21.5t stock systems and if it works we'll race the two motors against each other from season two. Oh yes, we're also going to run two seasons a year from next year!!!!
Mini 2wd - We'll continue running sport tuned vs 17.5t stock systems and open gearing. It has worked very well, racing is super tight. Most guys are switching over to bl due to there being no maintenance.
Mini 4wd - changing class name to Pro Mini, any pro mini chassis allowed, 2wd vs 4wd, motors will be sport tuned vs 17.5t stock system vs tamiya lightly tuned.
GT Touring - will be testing FF03's(any fwd chassis) vs 4wd chassis', motors will be tamiya rz/tz vs 17.5t stock system.
My thoughts are that maybe we can add brushless in one or two classes that currently run brushed motors in the CC next year??
