Coastal Cup
I would like to confirm the date for the Coastal Cup in Cape Town. Is it still the Weekend of the 16th December 2011 as mentioned at a previous race meeting ?

Re: Coastal Cup
Where did this date of the 16th fall out of??? Who was gesuip at the braai and spoke out of turn again??? Jirre, can't take you okes anywhere!!
OK OK OK, here's the unofficial low down for the CC 2012.................
Don't quote me though, I'll deny it!!!
1. We are busy negotiating with parow to host the CT leg of the CC on the weekend of the 28th & 29th April. There might be a hiccup with the venue from their side, but come hook or by crook, we'll host you guys in CT, who knows, maybe trccc style.
2. I am trying to get KZN involved as they're not hosting a nat next year, proposed dates so far for the kzn leg are 23 - 24 June, or 14 - 15 July. This is still in it's infancy negotiating stages( a few days now), the guys(club chairmans) in kzn still need to get together to see if they can host and which tracks are available, that's if their members are even interested, so lets wait and see.
3. We would like to come to you guys on the weekend of the 3 & 4th November if you can fit us in. The weather should be better, don't know about your *insert choice word* wind though??
The discussion has also evolved around wether we should start doing these events over two days, some quallies on the Sat arvi and maybe another qualli and a main on the Sun. This is because of the unpredictable weather. This still has to be discussed but can be done closer the time, not a major thing right now.
There you have it, and as I said, don't quote me, I'm talking out of turn here.

Can also be added to the program if time permits. But the reasoning behind having some quallies on the Saturday is that if it rains on the Sunday, at least we've had a chance to race against each other and it wasn't all for naught, and the results from the quallies can be used as a result for the finals if rained out.

RE:Coastal cup
Everyone is anoid with weather turning badly, now some people thinking of how to avoid bad weather patterns,I start thinking of waterproofing my R/C car and electronics and let race in the rain. Now the tyre manufacturers can gain even more by producing a wet rubber tyre

The Pink car always helps when driving against your club, sort of a distraction. I read about it somewhere once.

Re: Coastal Cup
I left work today at 4 to beat the rain. Just made it before it bucketed down. Its crazy the amount of rain we are getting. I know this is not the place to discuss it but some guys want to spend some time at the track Saturday afternoon. Maybe the only chance we get to do some laps this weekend by the look of the reports.
