Just a thought, why don't you guys run a longer enduro??? We run a 2hr enduro with 2 drivers, one transponder between two cars or use same shell between two cars, and a compulsory 10 pit stop rule. And we do this 4 times a year!!!!

hey guys, let me put it this way: bring your cars and we will agree on someting on the day if we don't hear from Columbo. I dont think its my place to say it but something happened that required Columbo's attention. Lets say we have a tt01 and a open class. tt01 run 1800 batteries for 30 min and the open class 30 min and anything goes. Bring a drift car if you have one or anything rc related to show off. And Raider no you can't bring your dod and Andrew you can't wear a Sharks shirt or cap. Lets all remember why we do this and have a joll!!!!

I spoke to Columbo a few minutes ago and he said he will before 12 o'clock today send out a mail and place on this forum the necc what was decided at a recent meeting.

At our recent meeting, the suggested Enduro / Fun / Display day was discussed, and the report back is as follows:

TT01 ENDURO:Mandatory 3 Drivers, Any Nicd / NiMH batteries - NO LIPO'S!, Any tyres, Only 1 car per team, 45 minutes duration, start will take place at track side at end of back straight (Section next to Worraker Street) and the following will take place: Transponder, body, battery and tyres will be off car. Driver to be in position on drivers stand. Marshall will be at car's number marshalling point. The start countdown will begin, and at start of race the mechanic must fit the transponder to the body, install the battery, fit body to car, and put car on track, and the race is on! The race will not start if ALL marshalls are not at their designated points. When the change-overs takes place, the official checking the marshalls will advise race control of non appearance and a stop/go will apply.

OPEN CLASS ENDURO: Mandatory 3 drivers, Batteries, motor, tyres are optional, Each driver has his own car, 30 minutes duration, tyre changes are optional, and each team will draw a transponed from a hat and the transponder number will be his start position. The race will not start if ALL marshalls are not at their designated points. When the change-overs takes place, the official checking the marshalls will advise race control of non appearance and a stop/go will apply

DISPLAY: Please bring whatever bodies you have ( whether in use or not / whether sentimental, or otherwise) as we want to take photos of as much as possible to put up an ad and to display in our club. We are contemplating having a Concours prize for the most well prepared body and a Concours race on the day. The only stipulation for the Concours race is that YOU MUST RACE ONE OF THE BODIES THAT YOU ENTER! You may not start the race with the body, and swop after one lap!!!!!

I have put these suggestions forward and will rely on the experience of members like Raymond and Christo to advise us of any changes. I also request that the two mentioned members put their suggestions forward soonest in order for us to finalize the fun day.

Prizegiving will take place at the Diaz Club on the afternoon, which will include a braai, and braai packs will be donated to all paid up members and spouses / partners. Braai packs will be on sale for non paid members and extended families. Salads will be supplied by a group of ladies that have offerd their services.

I would just like to add bring your`e kids we will have a jumping castle for the kids so they enjoy the day with us.
